Thursday Thoughts 3

Food Thoughts:

  • Man, oh, man have I tried some great recipes from the blog world lately. Some of my favourites? This mac ‘n’ cheese, this Samoa protein shake, this copycat WF salad…amazing.
  • I am super looking forward to my birthday weekend trip to Seattle with the bestie this weekend. Not just for the trip but also for the chance to scour US supermarket aisles for food products we can’t get this side of the border (it’s weird what I get excited about). Like finally picking up some of this Arctic Zero protein ice cream I’ve been hearing about…!

Life Thoughts:

  • Have you ever done a comprehensive personality test? When I worked in HR our boss got us to do personality profiles so she knew how to manage us better, because she would know what kind of personalities she had on her team. My sister sent me a link to this Keirsey test, which sorts you into one of the four temperaments – and this is what I ended up with:

Didn’t take a genius to work that one out! But it’s a good test – worth doing if you’re curious! Once you have your temperament, you can read the description of the four personalities within that temperament and see which one you’re most like. I’m pretty sure I ended up with Counsellor. What are you?

Fashion Thoughts:

  • I’m in love with a Michael Kors black maxi skirt I splurged on. It’s soooo comfortable, I may just live in it this summer!
  • I still haven’t been brave enough to wear the red jeans I bought! Aah! Maybe I’ll pull them out for some Canada Day-themed wearing at last. Has anyone else bought coloured jeans and been brave enough to sport them yet?

TV Thoughts:

  • Have you heard of the new ABC Family show, Bunheads? It’s a show about ballet dancers (hence the name) and it’s by the creators of Gilmore Girls…I love anything to do with dance and I loved Gilmore Girls so I gave the pilot a shot, but really? You spend the pilot episode convincing me to like this guy and then kill him off at the end of the pilot (this is not a spoiler; this event is what the series is based on). I’m not sure I can get behind it…

QUESTIONS:

  • If you’re in Canada, any plans for the Canada Day long weekend?
  • Have you been brave enough to wear a pair of bold-coloured jeans yet?
  • Let me know what temperament you get if you take that personality test!

Arctic Zero is *da bomb* I lurve it! I’ve only had the Chocolate and the Chocolate Peanut Butter, but only b/c those are the only flavors I have seen. I’m totally keeping my eyes peeled for the Mint Chocolate Cookie…what?!? Yum!

ok so i recently tried this arctic zero stuff and i’m kinda obsessed. while it certainly isn’t an ice cream replacement – you can eat the entire pint (and you better believe i have!) for 150 calories and tons of fiber and protein. i’ve tried the chocolate, chocolate pb, and cookies and cream. out of those three its a tie between the two chocolate flavors, but they were all good. i’ve heard the coffee is the best though and its next on my list!

I haven’t worn or bought bright color jeans yet, but I love the concept!! I’ve been focused on buying things that I can wear for work or I think I would be jumping on this trend. 🙂

Ok, took the personality test. I, too, am an Idealist. It makes a lot of sense. I just wrote a post that talked about how I’m feeling motivated to make the changes necessary to be my best self. Second sentence in that report says just that! I like taking personality tests. They’re fun, and definitely interesting!

I have NO plans for the long weekend other than giving you a billion virtual birthday hugs 😉

I just came across your blog and am excited for another Canadian blogger! I haven’t seen Arctic Zero in stores yet! I really want to try it when I get my hands on it though. Definitely pull out those coloured jeans, I have purple ones and I wear them quite often. I love ’em.

Oh my gosh, I felt the EXACT same way about “Bunheads”. It seemed to have everything going for it- the story line sounded promising, Sutton Foster is insanely talented, etc. But, it was a huge let down. I couldn’t even make it through the 3rd episode this week. ):
And girl, wear your red pants! I have a pair of red corduroys that I absolutely adore. You can definitely rock ’em!

Enjoy your trip to Seattle!! I’m sure your birthday will be perfect 🙂

I’m all about coloured tops, but have not tried the coloured pants thing. Not sure if I could pull them off 😛

I took that test once before! I think I had the same as you, because it looks familiar & sounds exactly like me, haha.

Have a great long weekend, Anna! <3

Hahah “Bunheads”… that’s funny. Happy Birthday weekend! That sounds like a lot of fun! Ps. I love those bright colored jeans, and would love to own a pair, but I’m afraid of buying them too… maybe we should both get over our fears?
